Overview

Mushroom Farming training is designed to provide practical knowledge and skills for successful mushroom cultivation. The course covers different types of edible mushrooms, selection of quality spawn, substrate preparation, sterilization, bed or bag preparation, spawning, temperature and humidity management, pest and disease control, harvesting, grading, packaging, storage and marketing. Participants will also learn how to start a small-scale or commercial mushroom farming enterprise with proper production planning and market linkage.

Practical Exposure

Participants will receive hands-on exposure to substrate preparation, straw treatment, mushroom bag preparation, spawning, incubation room management, humidity and temperature control, identification of common contamination, crop care, harvesting, grading, packaging and basic mushroom production planning under trainer guidance.

Career & Self-Employment Possibilities

After completing the Mushroom Farming training, participants can start their own mushroom production unit, supply fresh mushrooms to local markets, hotels and restaurants, produce dried or processed mushroom products, work with mushroom farms and agricultural organizations, supply mushroom cultivation materials, or develop a small-scale rural enterprise. Mushroom farming can be started with limited space and can provide additional or full-time income with proper production and marketing.

Certification
