Privacy Policy — Student Exam App

This policy explains what the Student Exam mobile application (package com.erp.studentexam, the “App”), operated by Scope Training & Consulting Private Limited (“we”, “us”), collects from students, why, and how it is used. The App is used by enrolled students to view their details, receive exam schedules, and sit online proctored examinations.

1. Information we collect

Account & profile	Registration number / username used to log in, and the student profile already held in the institute records (name, roll number, course, batch, photo). We do not ask for a separate account — you sign in with credentials issued by your institute.
Exam data	Your answers, exam attempts, timing, warnings, marks and results.
Camera images (proctoring)	Only while an exam is in progress, the App captures periodic webcam snapshots for exam supervision. It does not access the camera at any other time.
Location	Only while an exam is in progress, the App may record the device location once, to confirm where the exam was taken. It does not track your location in the background or at any other time.
Device / technical	Device model and app version (for support and compatibility), and network status.

We do NOT collect your contacts, SMS, call logs, files, browsing history, or advertising identifiers. We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs. Fingerprint / face unlock, if you enable it, is handled entirely by your phone’s secure hardware — your biometric data never leaves the device and is never sent to us.

2. Why we use it

To deliver exams to the correct student and record answers and results.
To supervise exams and maintain exam integrity (camera snapshots, location, on-screen activity events during an active attempt).
To show exam schedules, admit cards, results and notifications.
To provide support and keep the App working on your device.

3. Permissions the App requests

Camera	Webcam snapshots during an active exam (proctoring).
Location	One-time exam-location capture during an active exam.
Notifications	Exam and result alerts.
Internet / Network	Communicating with the institute’s exam server over HTTPS.

You may decline or later revoke any permission from your phone’s Settings. Some exam features (such as camera-monitored exams) cannot function without the required permission.

4. How your data is stored and protected

Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored on the institute’s secure server (). Access is restricted to authorised institute staff (teachers, examination and administrative officers).

5. Data sharing

We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or third-party marketers. Your exam data and proctoring records are available only to your institute’s authorised examination staff for evaluation and record-keeping, and may be disclosed if required by law.

6. Data retention and deletion

Exam records, answers and proctoring snapshots are retained by the institute for as long as needed for examination, certification and audit purposes, in line with the institute’s record policy. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, contact us using the details below; where deletion would not conflict with a legal or examination-record obligation, we will act on the request.

7. Children

The App is intended for enrolled trainees/students of the institute. Where a student is a minor, use of the App is under the institute’s and guardian’s consent as part of the training programme.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date above will change. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
